Before we know it, it is the last day of summer. Fortunately, summer produce is still plentiful, so I can be in denial for a while longer.
At the same time, winter squashes have made their appearance: hoarding season will start soon. I already have a couple of recipe ideas that I am eager to test.
I took the photo last weekend at the LongHouse Food Revival 2014 in Rensselaerville (NY). I will talk more about this special event in an upcoming post.
This week, I have the honor of hosting Black and White Wednesday - A Culinary Photography Event created by Susan of The Well-Seasoned Cook and now organized by Cinzia of Cindystar. Send your contribution at simosite AT mac DOT com, namely

This is my contribution to edition #144 of Black and White Wednesday - A Culinary Photography Event created by Susan of The Well-Seasoned Cook, now organized by Cinzia of Cindystar, and hosted this week by me, Simona of briciole.
The photo was shot in color and then converted to black and white (Lightroom preset B&W Look 1).
Lovely photo in black and white. Today is the last day of summer. Yay! I look forward to autumn. ;-)

Thank you, Paz. I like a lot of things about fall (the colors, the light, the produce), but not the fact that days get short and that it gets colder and wet. I should migrate to the other hemisphere every year, I guess.
