Another image from the recent LongHouse Food Revival 2014 in Rensselaerville (NY). Tall sunflowers and bright tomatoes speak of summer, while the winter squash on the right hints at fall. All together, they mean harvest and bounty, and invite us to be thankful.
Enough musing for today: below are the images contributed to edition #144 of Black and White Wednesday - A Culinary Photography Event.
Enjoy this week's show!
Lauren of Lovely: Parkin (a gingerbread made with oatmeal)
Aparna of Stories from the Mahe Coast: Paper Cakes from Malabar
Rosa of Rosa's Yummy Yums: Fishing in Style
Cinzia of Cindystar: Zucca Aperitif
Simona of briciole: Hubbard squash and cabbage in the garden of LongHouse
As of today, Cinzia of Cindystar is accepting submissions for edition #145 of Black and White Wednesday - A Culinary Photography Event. You can send her your contribution to casacortella AT tin DOT it.
I am sending her the top photo of this post, which was shot in color and then converted to sepia (Lightroom preset Sepia Tone). The gallery of images contributed to the event.
Thank you to all the contributors, to Susan of The Well-Seasoned Cook who created the event and to Cinzia of Cindystar who is now organizing it.
I do hope I have not left anybody out of the roundup. If you find that, notwithstanding my best intentions, I actually have omitted a photo, please send me a note.
Arrivederci a presto
A wonderful collection of pictures. Your picture is lovely. Thanks for hosting the event.
Cheers,
Rosa

Love your harvest bounty! I can't wait for some cooler weather to go with all the changing leaves and the squashes.

You are welcome, Cinzia. I have a weakness for old barns and spending a weekend around one was a treat.
