During our week in Samos, I visited the Karlovasi branch of EOSS, the Union of Vinicultural Cooperatives of Samos. Grape harvesting being in full swing, the facility hummed with the seasonal tasks. I focused my camera on the rows of barrels in a large storage room in the facility.
There are a number of Italian expressions involving barrels and I talked about them in this post.
Here is my postcard from Samos.
This is my contribution to edition #96 of Black and White Wednesday - A Culinary Photography Event created by Susan of The Well-Seasoned Cook, now organized by Cinzia of Cindystar, and hosted this week by Haalo of Haalo of Cook (almost) Anything at Least Once.
The photo was shot in color and then converted to sepia (Lightroom preset Sepia Tone).
This post contains the gallery of images submitted to the event.
On this page, you can find out who is hosting the current and future editions of the event.
Fabulous contribution to B&W Simona. Now, let's taste some wine!

Thank you, Lori Lynn. Samos is famous mostly for its muscat grapes, so I hope you like sweet wines.

That's a really beautiful image Simona. Loved reading through the older post too.

Knock-out shot, Simona. The eye moves carefully and pleasurably to the back of the comp.

Thank you so much, Priya!
Thank you, Susan! Glad you like the photo. The light was a bit of a challenge, but the rows of barrels were too tempting.
