What can you tell about the people who inhabit this space?
The photo is part of a project on which I am working. While the identity of some of the objects on the kitchen counter is clear, others cannot be described with certainty. The viewer can create a story that lives in this space.
The photo above is my contribution to edition #36 of Black and White Wednesday - A Culinary Photography Event created by Susan of The Well-Seasoned Cook and hosted this week by Cinzia of Cindystar.
The photo was shot in color and then converted to black and white.
This post contains the gallery of images submitted to the event.
On this page, you can find out who is hosting the current and future editions of the event.
Nice shot! I love the Pavoni. I had one for years and years. It's a real work horse!

Grazie, Frank! That Pavoni is about 18 years old and it has been well used. A real work horse indeed, plus it is a beautiful thing to have on the counter.

I find this photo project really intriguing, judging by the two you have published so far. They are like the beginning of a well-written novel. They have an atmosphere and a smell, almost.

Ciao Caffettiera and thanks for the kind words. Indeed, it's a very interesting project. I'll have more details soon. I will create an album on Flickr with some of the photos and explain the project a bit more.
