potrebbero assomigliare a quelli secchi?

I can't believe I've never made this dish. For some reason zucchine are not something I'd think of eating al pomodoro, but I can smell it right now and it smells good. I can understand your comment about them being addictive. I'm always looking for relatively simple, everyday vegetable recipes: I'll try this one for sure.

Oh, an Italian friend showed me how to make something a little similar the other day. So delicious! Thanks for sharing.

Simona Carini

Ciao Caffettiera. This is a really simple vegetable recipes that can be prepared quickly, if you have zucchine (and onions), which I basically always do once the season starts. One good thing about zucchine is that they are not expensive at all. I only wish I could grow them: my experiments have not given good results, so I rely on our farmers to do that for me.

Hi Leaf. I am glad you have a friend who has introduced you to the joy of zucchine al pomodoro: this is the right time of the year to learn new zucchini recipe.

What a beautiful dish. I love the combination of zucchini and tomatoes. Many props for supporting the local farmers markets! I live on the east coast and our local farmers market finally starts their season this weekend :) Also, I really like how you include the Italian version of the recipe. I've been to Italy a few times and this made me want to return. Thank you for sharing!

Cassie

Zucchini and tomatoes are so plentiful around here in the summer! I love combining them also. I hardly ever find fresh thyme though, usually just basil, mint, parsley and cilantro.

astrofiammante

Simona Carini

Welcome wgfoodie. Going to the farmers' market is one of the pleasures of life. This is indeed the time of the year when seasonal markets start to open, which is great. I hope you'll get to go back to Italy soon.

Hi Cassie. I grow my own thyme and so I have a ready supply. Once I started growing, I have found more and more uses for it. I fell in love with its flavor. Also, where I live I cannot grow basil outdoor, due to the climate and indoor it doesn't really thrive, so I often reach for thyme when I could use basil. If I were to use it in this recipe, I would add it at the very end.

Ciao Astro.

Paz

I like that this is simple to make with easy-to-find ingredients. Next time I see zucchine, I will buy it. Thanks for the recipe. ;-)

Simona Carini

Ciao Paz. I hope you try making this dish: it is quite satisfying. You are welcome!
