What a wonderful delivery! And a wonderful meal!

Merry, Merry Christmas!

Buon Natale Simona and Happy holidays. Baci.

Hi, Simona, buon Natale! I'm glad you've discovered the pleasures of picada and farcellets. Picada is also used in a lot of fish stews, and chocolate gets the spotlight in game and boar dishes.

Simona Carini

Grazie, Baol. Tanti auguri anche a te.

Merry Christmas to you too, Paz.

Buon Natale, Ivy.

Hi Mar. Buona Natale anche a te! I have become an instant fan of picada. Thank you so much for the suggestions. Picada and fish stew, in particular, sounds very enticing.

Lori Lynn @ Taste With The Eyes

Such a neat gift exchange. I recognized the Italian names of four of the five spices, missed the bay. Now I know!
Your dish sounds wonderful.
Wishing you a very merry Christmas Simona!

Simona Carini

Every year it's been really fun, Lori Lynn. Thanks!

Grazie, Ivonne. Anche a te.

Grazie, Jeremy. Va bene, a Gennaio scrivero' un post sul sugo di pomodoro con il tonno.

We were just in Catalonia, visiting a friend in the mountains for Christmas... I have to say I love Catalan food, they do a lot with nuts, and am going to try this!

Foodycat

What clever and thoughtful gifts! And the chicken you cooked with them looks so rich and delicious!

Simona Carini

Hi Katie. I just read your post on Catalan dishes: I am curious to try more of this cuisine. And one day, I'd like to visit Barcelona.

Hi Foodycat. I loved the gifts and the dish is rich, but not heavy, very satisfying. I am planning to make it again soon.

Paulie

I've never experienced Catalan dishes before but this post has inspired me to do so!

Simona Carini

I am glad. This dish is quite delicious. I have made it a second time and again it was a success.
